Cuba Mosquito Press Release

In an effort to reduce the adult mosquito population in Cuba Township, your Elected Officials have opted to do a one-time spray for adult mosquitos in the unincorporated Cuba Township areas on the evening of Friday, July 13th (weather permitting).  This spray will be done in conjunction with the following municipalities regularly scheduled applications: Lake Barrington, North Barrington, Tower Lakes.

Cuba Township historically will only apply this adult control method when a known breed of disease carrying mosquitos has been identified in our Township.  This is NOT the case currently but we are working proactively to alleviate the unusually large numbers which have occurred due to the record rainfalls this summer.  Please keep in mind that this method will never control all mosquitos and that our regularly contracted mosquito monitoring and Larvicide application program is known to be the most effective measure of mosquito control.

Any Cuba Township resident may register to be notified prior to municipality (Lake Barrington, North Barrington and Tower Lakes) or Township adult mosquito control applications in their area by emailing their full name, full home address and telephone number to hotline@clarke.com or calling the mosquito hotline at (800) 942-2555.  Clarke will place the residents on the proper Township or Village route and get them notified the day of application.

If you have additional concerns or questions, please feel free to contact our office directly (847) 381-1924 x1 or by email info@cubatwpil.gov
